During the lockdown, my friend Julià Guillamon shared that he had written a book, Les Cuques (The Beetles), which invites readers to view nature through fresh eyes. Inspired by his insights, I was excited to create looped GIFs of beetles, drawing from some of the book’s chapters.
These GIFs aim to capture the essence of these remarkable creatures and highlight their significance in the natural world. They serve as visual extensions of the book’s message, encouraging viewers to appreciate beetles in a new way and to deepen their connection with nature.
The GIFs were later exhibited at the Museu del Joguet de Catalunya and the Museu de Ciències Naturals de Granollers, offering audiences the chance to experience the beauty and wonder of beetles firsthand.
